Hitachi Systems Security strengthens US presence by opening new Security Operations Center in Dallas/Fort Worth area

July 28, 2016 – Montreal, Canada – Hitachi Systems Security, a global IT security service provider, announces the opening of an additional Security Operations Center (SOC) in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in the United States. In line with Hitachi Systems Security’s global strategic growth plan, this new facility will strengthen the company’s competitive position in the actively consolidating US market and enhance its service availability.

“We are proud to open our first ever US Security Operations Center to offer our US customers the proximity security services that they need to protect their critical data”, says Daniel Gaudreau, Hitachi Systems Security’s chief operating officer. “With this addition, Hitachi Systems Security now operates SOCs in four countries to support our growing global operations, and provide localized service to our clients with a high level of understanding of their local context, operational models and regulations”.

“More and more organizations in the US are looking for effective and business-driven IT security solutions to protect their corporate and customer data. With our soon-to-open Security Operations Center and US headquarters, we are demonstrating our commitment to the US market, the largest security market in the world, all while enhancing our security service offering and providing additional value to our growing US customer base”, says Patrick M. Hayes, Hitachi Systems Security’s senior vice president of global sales and managing director, USA.

Located within less than 5 miles of the DFW airport, the Security Operations Center is part of a 700,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility. In line with Hitachi Systems Security’s strict physical and logical security requirements, the facility is equipped with security fences, two-factor biometric authentication, 24/7 security guards and technical staff, as well as closed circuit interior and exterior video cameras. It is strategically located and has low risk and exposure to major natural disasters.

Hitachi Systems Security’s US Security Operations Center will be fully operational by the end of the summer 2016, and a formal inauguration event will be held in the fall. Details of the event will be announced shortly.
