In partnership with Hitachi Data Systems Canada Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., Hitachi Systems Security will be hosting educational briefing events during the month of October and November 2016 in seven Canadian cities: Vancouver, British Columbia Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta, Toronto and Ottawa, Ontario, Montreal, Quebec and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
In line with Hitachi Systems Security’s commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing, this security briefing roadshow will bring together security professionals and business leaders across the country to find out more about how organizations can leverage and protect their critical data assets to accelerate their growth. Both companies have committed their most experienced and certified resources to speak at the events, Tim McCreight from Hitachi Systems Security and Paul Lewis from Hitachi Data Systems, to offer attendees the necessary depth of knowledge and experience that’s needed to decipher today’s data security jungle.

Thanks to his experience in several executive security positions and his sound knowledge of information security, he will present an intriguing approach for how to protect the most valuable commodity in today’s business environment – our data – and how to help organizations develop and implement an effective information security framework to achieve their goals. Tim has presented as a keynote speaker at conferences across North America on such diverse topics as enterprise risk management, converged security, and implementing enterprise information security programs.
Paul Lewis, Chief Technology Officer at Hitachi Data Systems Canada, will leverage his 20+ years of experience in IT and business strategy to present “Transform Today – Customer Journey to Digital Transformation”. In today’s competitive environment, businesses are challenged to achieve cost savings, improve the customer experience, grow revenues and reach new markets. For IT to remain relevant, a new paradigm is needed to support the rapid pace and new technologies powering the digital enterprise, and to also incorporate traditional, mission-critical IT systems and applications. Paul will outline how a well-defined data strategy based can enable organizations to achieve Digital Transformation. Paul is a frequent speaker at technology and industry events as well as various higher educational institutions across the country on topics ranging from IT leadership to Big Data/Internet of Things.
