Hitachi Systems Completes Above Security Acquisition
With Above Security’s Strong International Presence, Advanced IT Security Services Expertise and Technology, Hitachi Systems is Positioned to Grow its IT Security Services Globally

October 15, 2015, Montreal, Canada –  Above Security, a leading Managed Security Service Provider, today announced that Hitachi Systems Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501), has completed its acquisition of Above Security. With this acquisition agreement, Above Security will retain its existing brand and continue to operate independently as “Above Security, a Hitachi Group Company” under the leadership of its president and CEO, Ray Georges Chehata, and Above Security’s current management team.

As a Hitachi Group Company, Above Security will accelerate the execution of its strategic global growth plan and extend its services more rapidly into the US, Southern Europe and Asian markets. Above Security will be able to leverage the IT security services, technology and expertise that Hitachi Systems has developed for the Japanese market to bring those services to its global customer base.
